Overview
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an action role-playing game, playable from either a first or third-person perspective. The player may freely roam over the land of Skyrim which is an open world environment consisting of wilderness expanses, dungeons, caves, cities, towns, fortresses, and villages.
Players may navigate the game world more quickly by riding horses, paying for a ride from a city's stable, or by utilizing a fast-travel system that allows them to warp to previously discovered locations. The game's main quest can be completed or ignored at the player's preference after the first stage of the quest is finished.
The player character can develop their skills by using them, and only skills that are used are increased. Character development is driven by gaining experience through leveling up and completing quests. The leveling system is similar to previous The Elder Scrolls games; player-character skills are divided into eighteen areas evenly split between the three character archetypes: warrior, mage, and thief.

I've played Skyrim on every platform it's been released on. The modding community has kept this game alive for over a decade, and it still feels fresh. The world is so immersive and detailed.

The freedom to play however you want is what makes Skyrim special. You can be a noble hero, a sneaky thief, a powerful mage, or anything in between. The dragon encounters are always thrilling!

The main quest is great, but the side quests and guild storylines are where Skyrim truly shines. The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild questlines are some of the best storytelling in gaming.
